Civil war

Since the age of seven I have been utterly fascinated by comic books. From the magnificent story lines that most contain to the vivid characters others behold they bring to life a chapter of your imagination and allow you to become consumed in a world most of the time brighter than your own. But of all the comic book story lines that expand across the world which is the most amazing in multiple ways? Everyone has their own opinion to the question and I urge you to share yours in the form of a comment or by writing your own hub on the question!
For me, the greatest storyline of any comic book has to be one written under the company Marvel comics. The title of the series is Civil War. This series gripped me in mere seconds of reading into it. I first read of the series actually about a year after the entire series has been completed which is sad I know. I read about it in a comic book forum (the link of the amazing site will be provided). After becoming interested I did some research on it going through its multiple story lines, vivid images and the unique combination of all marvel characters being linked into one story line.
I had to have it and the next day I was driving to my local comic book store (which has recently closed) to pick up the first issue but I left with twelve issues called Civil War: Chronicles. Which is basically the entire series wrapped into twelve large sized comics. Reading them immersed me into a fantastic world written by Mark Millar.
The story begins with the New warriors which is a young team of super humans who landed a tv show featuring them fighting crime and after becoming hungry for tv ratings they decide to raid a home in Stamford, Connecticut containing recently escaped super human convicts (the most dangerous being Nitro who can explode and reassemble at will) after raiding the house, the New warriors seem to have won the fight but Nitro ignites himself giving off a massive explosion with destroys and kills not only the new warriors but everyone in a certain radius. The explosion destroys an elementary school where many people (including children) lose their lives in the tragedy.
This tragedy along with many other super human related events triggers the United States government to enact a super human registration act identifying all super human beings as “living weapons of mass destruction”. And forcing them to become government officials and join the payroll to fight crime under the law yet they must give up their identities.
Once such a bill is spoken of a dividing line is drawn between those who are going to willingly sign up and those who are against it (illegally). The opposition is led by Captain America while the side who welcomes such a bill is led by Iron man. I don’t want to explain the entire story here and ruin it for the fans who haven’t read it yet so I won’t. But I urge you to at least check it out! The links below as well!
And please let me hear your opinions, comments, concerns etc… I’d greatly appreciate any feedback!
